Zuperior Channel Revolutionary Sharpening

channel zNew Zuperior Channel Sharpening makes the player faster and gives extreme grip when needed. Higher speed and better grip. Here is the new revolutionary sharpening for ice hockey. - You get the best sides of both worlds, says Magnus Pääjärvi-Svensson, Timrå's super talented forward.
He has now used the new Channel Z sharpening for one whole week but he is sure for one thing: "It is the best sharpening that I've ever had, no doubt about it. I can't even think about going back to my old sharpening."
The secret of the new Zuperior Channel sharpening is the groove/channel in the middle of the blade. This channel makes it possible to have extreme good grip when needed but gliding motion is also lot better when comparing to traditional hollow sharpening. "I have lot better glide when I'm skating straight down the ice and in crossover skating I have lot better grip than I used to have. I absolutely feel that I have become faster, says Pääjärvi-Svensson. Björn Mannström, Timrå IK's equipment manager explains little bit more about this new innovation: "Bandy players have had always flat grinding which gives you a lot better glide and speed. Problem with this is that you don't get that good grip which is very important in nowadays intense ice hockey. This new channel sharpening combines the best sides of both ways to sharpen the skates, you get a better grip but at the same time you can gain more speed." The man behind this new innovation is Magnus Eriksson, General Manager of ProSharp. "I've been working closely with Tomas Storm who is a skating instructor for the Detroit Red Wings among others, and I have tested some of his ideas. And this idea got great feedback from many players." Check out Paarjavi's skating at: http://www.paajarvi.com or at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9EO8Ztxu_k

Thomas Storm - The Swedish Skating and Skills Guru

"I have been using ProSharp machines for 20 years. I find the system superior to other systems as the blades are not overworked and provides excellent blade profile support and balance. In the hockey development programs that I represent we study in detail how the players manage our drills. From these drills and through our on and off ice testing data we can identify problems and work on refining the players' skates, strength, agility and skating technique. First, we make sure the skate boots are aligned to the blades and that the skates fit properly, then we profile and sharpen the blades to achieve the optimum skates. With prosharp we can clearly see the instant on-ice advantage.

The ProSharp machines provide perfectly sharpened skates for every practice and every game, which is imperative to mastering our demanding practices and to developing the players' overall performance."Tomas Storm 2009 - Hockey Skills Instructor
. Mr Storm is recognized as one of the world's most respected hockey skills instructors and has been working regularly with the Detroit Red Wings since 1994.

SkatePal Goalie - Oakville Rangers

Finn,
Michael and I would like to thank you for getting our SkatePal. We were able to keep his skates sharp! every 4 hours on the ice, I sharpened his skates. By seasons's end I was sharpening up to 8 pairs of skates per game. Michael was MVP in the SCTA Championships in York. He combined with the other goalie to have the lowest GAA in the year. We are very happy with our SkatePal and using it constantly. Thanks again, Clyde & Michael Bullion, Oakville Rangers 1997 AAA.

East Nippising Vipers Atom

Hi John,

I can still remember the day last summer when I walked by our truck in the parking lot of our local rink. You were demonstrating the skate pal to who ever would listen, my first reaction was, as if that " THING" can sharpen skates good enough for any one that is serious about hockey, it looked like a "TOY" from a distance.

As the week of hockey school went on, I watched and listened about the benefits of the Skate Pal, it was only after my own sons skates had been sharpened and I noticed an immediate improvement in his skating speed that I was 100% sold on this fine peace of ingenuity. I couldn't wait to get my winter team set up on the program, not only would the teams skates be sharpened with consistency, but I could only imagine the convenience of having the Skate Pal with the team on road trips while away at tournaments.

I can tell you that The skate Pal was every thing that the team had hoped for, what a feeling for the parents, players and coaches to know that on Sunday before starting a semi final game at a tournament, that all the players had a good edge on their skates, and it was the same edge that they skated with a month before.

The East Nippising Vipers Atom team had a very successful year to say the least, they were the only local team to win the International Silver Stick in some 38 years. Everybody knows there are many components to a winning season, but I'm 100 % convinced that the Skate Pal is as important as all others.

Best Regards
Mark Rich, Coach - East Nippising Vipers 2008/09
